Thanks in advance <3
How do you handle/cope with stress while you're at college/university?
Thanks in advance <3
A little tip i used to practice. When filling in dues and dates in the scedule, ALWAYS assign big stuff do be done the week before, and small stuff to be done one day earlier.
That way you'll have everything sceduled in advance, and in case something happens you still have one last day to finish it.
Also you should get a relaxing hobby where you leave where you live. Personally i found jogging to help. The point is to get away from all the stress for some time. It really helps, and if you get your ass outside and get some excercise you also perform better whe nyou get back and return to working.
Pour myself a Jameson and Coke for relaxing first. I would buy a notebook calendar for $5 and write everything I had to do for each day. So Monday I would write down what class I had and what was do. I would also do my assignment in advance so I could have days off to do anything I wanted and if I forgot something that was do I had time to do it before class.
Thanks for the MHO!
No problem :) Your answer was very helpful & I'm definitely going to incorporate them into my new schedule ;) Much appreciated!
Well I try :) If you need anymore help don't hesitate to PM me on here :) I just graduated from college so I know what you are going through!
Always befriend one or two people in each class. You can maybe study together or at least talk shit about the assignment. A lot of people are in the same boat. You'll adjust even if it won't be super easy. By Spring semester you'll have it in the bag. Good luck!

It's not so bad, especially the first year. Your main priority is not sleeping in and missing lectures, taking notes you can read afterwards, writing them up each week, and not leaving coursework till a day before the deadline. Find ouy where all the rooms are ahead of the actual time you need to be there, keep up to date for room changes, get there early for a good seat. Get all the reading material asap. Going out and eating sorts the stress for me. The first year really isn't stresful at all to me, maybe it's like "new school" nerves you're feeling. Most first years are more into partying and the social life than work and that's the main problem some face when it comes to keeping on top of notes, deadlines and the dreaded exams. If anyone doesn't pass the first year, most of the time it's because they spent their time partying.
Go to class. Unless there's a really good reason, don't miss. Nothing makes you feel behind and anxious like not knowing exactly what's going on in a course. That's half the battle right there. Make time to have fun, but know there has to be a balance. Yeah, there will be nights you stay up till all hours of the morning finishing a paper or cramming for an exam, but in general try to get enough sleep. Sleep recharges your batteries. Try to get some exercise at least 2 -3 times per week. You'll get some from walking around campus,
Working out and uh..."releasing" that built up stress works well for me.
I smoked a lot of smoked a lot of weed
Glad that worked for you, lol :) I don't think that's the route I should take though, lol! :P
Do jiu jitsu.
