when it comes to exercise just do what you love, I convince you to do anything or you won't stick to it. I love wight lifting ( no it doesn't make you bulky, women lack the necessary hormones to be bulky), but there are tons of other things. like pilates ( I love blogilates she has videos on YouTube and they're free. Plus she's super fun and motivating), cardio (swimming, bikinig, running), anything you want that helps you get active or 30-60mins.
with diet I suggest the plate rule. use a small dinner/salad plate. make 1/2 veggies, 1/4 complex carb and your lean protein should be the size of the palm of your hand. drink 16oz of water before your meal, because it takes time for your brain to realize your full: so this keeps you from overeating. also most hunger is just thirst. always start with veg because it will be absorbed most, then carb then protein. and I highly suggest giving up soda. I think most people are addicted to sugar and soda is the main cause. a lot of people keep track of how much they eat, but not how much they drink. and that's where soda gets you
don't care too much about the scale or BMIs, it doesn't take into account height and muscle mass ( muscle weighs more than fat so expect some weight gain when you first begin). but do something you love and start with twice a week and gradually build, if you start of doing too much you may get overwhelmed and quit.
and something personal that keeps me on track is a vision board. sounds stupid, but being visually reminded of your goal and seeing that its attainable helps keep me on track. just try it.

Some really good cardio workout is running, biking, and swimming... I definitely recommend doing those sports at least five times a week. However if you are new to sports then maybe you can get some friends to workout with, they are always the best :)
As for food maybe ask your parents if they can get more fruits and vegetables to snack on. Also when you are going to eat any kind of food make sure there isn't much sodium and fat etc.
Good Luck! (You aren't alone ;))
Drink coconut water it fills you up and is really good its kind of like a healthy Gatorade. Do body weight exercises all you would need to buy for comfort would be an exercise or yoga mat. Jog, walk, buy a bicycle, mow lawns for money ETC. Stop eating lots of sugar all that energy turns to fat if you don't burn it off. Greasy food and sugar cause zits so if you don't eat it you are more likely to have clearer skin also.

Walking is good excercise, it doesn't cost anything, you just need to motivate yourself to walk on a regualar basis. Dont go on a diet, just eat the meals your family makes for you. if the portion is big, eat smaller portions. Eat healthly snacks between meals, drink plenty of water, and no sugared drinks.
