PLEASE HELP!! I need some advice on how to move on?

I have depression & anxiety i have been single for 2 years and i want to move on but i only have 1 friend and I have tried all dating sites... I really need a new start but don't know how to, to make it worse i keep on getting back in contact with my ex because I'm so lonely and i know he only keeps me sweet because he thinks I'm going to sleep with him! How can I meet friends? Or a new guy? I have tried to do both online for the past year and a half and nothing. All opinions welcome, please help

First of all, stop contacting with your ex! You should follow "No contact" rule. If he keeps you sweet because he thinks you're going to sleep with him, that's not a good thing. Do you want that? If you accept it, you would show how desperate and easy you are and it's not worth it.
It's easier than you think to meet friends. You could join an activity that involves many people. Or you could ask your friend to hang out with him/her. He/she could invite people you don't know and you would make new friends. Perhaps fall in love.
Just take it easy.

Thanks, you did help... The thing is that I can't really go do activities because everything costs money that i dont have unfortunately and i try, i do, I have stopped talking to him a few times since we broke up but he's like a bad drug i keep on going back to...

Yeah, it's hard to stop contacting an ex because you still see good in him and can't forget about the nice moments you once had. But you need to stay strong and realize it's not doing any good. You're doing well by stopping talking to him a few times, just keep remembering yourself it's not worth it. Deleting him from social medias would make things easier.
Does everything cost money? There must be some things that don't need money. Just try to look for some places with many people. There must be cool and popular places. Ask your friend if she/he knows about something :)

go running daily for about an hr. cry if u need to.. i know sometimes it just come out...
find an organization to volunteer in
work with children they will bring laughter... give more time... another 2 yrs. perhaps...

Try new places, somewhere you've never been before and where there's a lot of people. And smile, I know when someone is really depressed it's hard to but try to look more 'open'.
And if your ex makes you feel bad and more depressed, just don't talk again to him.

And i do smile a lot an try and forget about him but it hasn't worked permanently for two years now and I'm scared it never will

Ask your friend to help you forget this guy. He isn't good for you and if you don't stop talking to him you WON'T move on. ;)
