My ex broke up with me cause she's figuring her life out. It was my first relationship and it hurts letting her go. We didn't do anything wrong and everything was fine. She's just got stuff going on. I'm just stuck.

Okay to edit this was a 1.5 year relationship that ended literally cause she woke up one day and thought " I'm not ready to date ". Then she ended it. We talked weekly but then she says that she'd lost feeling cause we didn't talk enough.

Don't worry, it gets worse. So she started liking someone she met in VR who lives across the border. Is my age and is a highschool dropout.

It's gonna take time. I mean, like maybe up to a year depending on how deep of an emotional connection there was. This is completely normals. Happens, especially in younger people who tend to not know who they are and get ahead of themselves. It's better to take a break and fond yourself than to live a lie and need to find yourself and take a break laters after decades of a relationship. I would say embrace the suck, go through it, journal if you must, your thoughts and feelings. Get to know you better during this time. And when you feel better begin getting out there again being your new self. Each person you meet adds something to you. I'm really glad she explained as much as she could to you for closure instead of just ghosting you. Not having closure really sucks. Keep your head up. It will get better after a while.

Just go on about your life, try not to dwell on it, ask her every month or so if she’s ok. If she doesn’t respond then she’s likely moved on to someone else.

Don't know whether or not this will help, but first real relationships do tend to hurt the most. Break ups get easier the more you go through.

You've probably heard this many times but give it time, it takes about 3.5 months to start feeling better after a breakup.
There's some truth in that as it took me about 4 months.
