Permanent weight loss does not come super fast, and cannot be accomplished through diets. In fact, diets end up making you gain weight - but I won't go into the details as to why. Just avoid diets or you'll get fatter.
What you are asking can be accomplished through a lifestyle change and a strong sense of determination.
The first thing you need to do is identify the cause of your weight gain. Are you eating too much? Are you eating the wrong foods? Are you not exercising?
In terms of calories, it is much easier to avoid eating something compared to trying to burn it off through exercise. For example, if you drink a Coke, you need to run about 20 minutes to burn it off. Wouldn't it be easier to just not drink that Coke in the first place? The main point is, eating fewer calories will have a much greater effect on your weight than exercise - so it should be your first objective to tackle. Don't eat till you're about to blow up every day. Just eat enough so that you're no longer hungry. Also, select healthier, lower calorie foods. You don't need to go extreme and turn vegan - but say - reduce high calorie foods with low calorie options.
Next is exercise. If you've never gone to the gym in your life, try a team sport instead. Working out alone is hard to keep motivated, but a team game keeps you interested while getting the exercise you need. Another alternative is a local running group with people of similar endurance level. You don't need to be super fit, and the group will keep you from falling in last place.
Lastly, realize this is a lifestyle change. Not a 1-month quick fix. Expect that the changes you make will last a lifetime. Wishing for the weight to be gone will only make you unhappy in life. If you want it as bad as you say you do, then stop complaining and doing nothing - and get off the computer and start doing something about it.

First this is a journey not a destination, so keep that in mind.
Second it is about baby steps and consistency. Meaning that you aren't going to fix everything in day. But if you take small steps daily and are consistent, you can do it. Eventually you can take bigger steps.
My suggestion is that initially you do two things: Start eating better. You do not have to do everything at once, but starting eating better. Eat a bit less or eat better foods or both. Start exercising. It can be walking or something more if you are ready. Focus on those things for the next two months.
Once you get a little steam under you, start some sort of good exercise program. There are many out there for men and women and many of them have nutrition plans attached (Notice i didn't say diet - this is not about dieting, this is about nutrition). Look for a two to three month program. A low impact but doable one is T-25... it is about 30 minutes a day for 6 days each week. Just do the best you can while following it... you will get stronger. (And there are tons of them i am not necessarily recommending that one, just saying it is one you can do).
Overtime you will find that you eat better and exercise better and can make adjustments to better habits slowly as you go.
You can do this... I hope this helps...

The problem is you're doing it for all the wrong reasons, the goal shouldn't be to lose weight quick or to look better than your friends. It's to look and feel good. You should make it a lifestyle change not a diet. Here are some tips: keep a journal of everything you eat, avoid processed food as much as possible, it's okay to mess up every once in a while but don't let it ruin your whole day. Stick to water, not fruit drinks or soda
Try hiitmax and using a calorie/nutrition counter app. There is no quick solution that is healthy and will give you lasting results. Expect it to take sometime, at 4 weeks you'll start noticing a difference and shortly after so will family and friends.
