Had a headache for a week and 2 days and it's sore? Should I be concerned?

I had the worst headache last week Thursday! It was so bad I left school and I came home. It disappered on Friday but came back after I ran fast for about 20secs and it was intense. This was on the right side of my head. I also developed a cold that weekend but it's gone. However Through out the next week the beach ache kept coming and going and yesterday, after a week & a day it came back intense again but in my left side. Should I be concerned and I have booked an appointment with my GP for Tuesday. Also all day today it's been really sore. I have drank a lot of fluids and it hurts.

It sounds like a migraine. It's not uncommon to get one and then have a rebound headache or echoes of the original headache days later.

It's good you're going to your doctor becuase they can help you think what might have triggered the headache and decide if you need medication to help with the pain.

What are the symptoms for a migraine do you know?

Well the pain being mainly on one side is what really makes me think migraine. You can go to a site like webmd and see what it says though.

It started on the right on the first Thursday but today and a couple of days ago it's been on the left only & I'll go on the site thanks x

That's how migraines are. They're like ice picks on one side of your head.

A brain tumor maybe, but please talk with a doctor.

Im scared incense it is. I looked up at the symptoms and the only one I have is a severe constant headache. I am not vomiting or anything like that but my beach is constantly sore and throbbing

I will. I just called NHS24 and they'll call me in 3hrs but I hope it's nothing severe
