Could I be Pregnant?

So I have been on birth control nearly a year and am sexually active with my boyfriend. Last month my period was four days late (which is somewhat normal because of my birth control) and only lasted three days with a light flow (which is totally abnormal for me)

Now my period is over a week late and I have taken an HPT that came back negative. I don't understand what's going on and I plan on making an appointment with my doctor, I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this?

A lot of things can affect your period.
Stress
Changed in your diet
Abnormal weight gain
Abnormal weight loss
Sleep deprivation
Random crazy hormones (specially at your age)
Some sign of something not working correctly with your body.

Yes definitely check with your doctor because that might be the way of your body telling you something is wrong. But I doubt you're pregnant if the pregnancy test came back negative.

I have experienced this many times. No o. e can tell you why other than your doctor. I was told that it was my body starting to reject the birth control and had to be put on a different birth control which has seemed to help significantly.

If you don't have any other symptoms don't worry too much about it. It could be the birth control affecting your period. But still go see your doctor.
