Maybe she is in denial of your mental illness. I guess it would be pretty hard on a parent to face that their child has depression or anxiety and she might be scared because she hasn't faced this situation before. I suggest just bringing it up carefully. It is hard on you (obviously, I can't even imagine how hard depression would be) but it would be hard for her to think of what you are going through. i'd try to give her time to accept it, but make sure that she knows that it is detrimental to your health that you get the medication so that you can function properly.

depression is not an uncommon mental illness it is actually one of the more common one scene in teenagers there's so much drama in high school that it just seems to happen either that or you get affected by stuff that happen when you're a child that causes you to be depressed now just tell her: hey I need this this will help me it will make me feel better if you're really good mom then you'll help me so please do this for me
