Maybe I'm a hypercondriac or is it real?

Well I've had this thing in my throat for like 3 years and I went to the doctor and the first doctor I saw wasn't my doctor he was locum, and he said I was fine so 2 weeks after I went to see my doctor and he said it's something what just happens and it's nothing serious. But why do I feel like it is, as every time I look at my throat I see changes is this normal? Is it just in my mind? Plus I'm not saying my doctor isn't good as he has been my gp since I was 12 and I'm 25 now. I don't smoke or drink, so I guess to get cancer like that you're more likely to do one of each?

Go and see an ear nose and throat specialist (ENT) or otolaryngologist.

Ask your doctor for a referral to one. If you don't want to ask your doctor because it would be awkward after he said nothing was wrong, just go to a different doctor to ask for the referral.

These specialists will know if something is wrong or not better than your every day general practitioner.

It's cause I don't want to make a fool of myself lol. But I don't have any pain or anything and I've had it for 3 years... It's probably nothing. I worry too much maybe.
