Ever got braces? How long normally teeth get lined up?

I myself have messy teeth, planning to have braces next year. why not now? I have to save some money first because I plan to have damon braces (just so it invisible) and it's 3 times more expansive than the regular one. sad.

Yes, I had removable braces for 9 months and normal braces for 2 years. :) it really depends on your teeth.. Something it takes only 1 year and something up to 4 years.

yea my friend has has it for 6 years. crazy.
I really think I will have at least 3 years but I don't think I can stand it for that long :(

Oh, you will get used to it! At first it felt really weird but after a while it was normal for me. :) Seriously, don't worry about it. Damon braces are barely noticeable!

Yea I have braces now cause I have an overbite I have had them on for a year and a bit and im getting them off in February and I also have damon braces

I have 2 canines (that dracula teeth) that grow in wrong places so I think having a regular one will make me look terrible.
Damon braces is pretty expensive in my country. I really need to save money to have it.

Mine were the same price as the others but my orthodontist said they are better and would take less time. They don't really hurt that much only when I get a thicker wire. But I had to get screws and two teeth out and that did hurt but its not that bad.

I have braces currently. It's 2 years on average but could be more or less. Everyone is different.

And the retainer is a must otherwise it's all pointless

yea they said all overbite and messy teeth will come back again. Woooow. are we have to wear retainer 'forever'?

Yep. Braces help with the overcrowding, overbite, and messy/not straight teeth but if you're not on top of the retainer responsibility then it all comes back and you could say that the orthodontal treatment was pointless. My expected removal date is March 26 next year saying 2 years. And no, the retainer is not forever. I think it varies and depends on what your dentist/orthodontist says but the longest I've heard was 5 years but there was problems and someone wasn't that good at taking good care.

Yeah my friends too lazy to wear retainer and that overbite came back. How long we usually have to wear retainer? 'Forever'?

They say forever, but in reality a few years.
