Can you workout without a mirror?

i NEED one or i don't feel like im doing it right... some people say they don't work out with a mirror... do you?

When i did 24 hour i used to always use the mirror as a way to watch myself do things correctly.

However after joining crossfit for 2 years now... it was weird not using a mirror at first but weeks later you just forget about it and you feel the movements (of course trainers will correct form if it's off).

Is it better? i don't know.. more different.

It's def easier to maintain perfect form in your movement with mirrors. Esp. for us tall guys with long ass limbs lol.

A mirror can be useful if you use free weights. Then its important to have the correct position to avoid injuries. You don't need a mirror on cardio and weight machines. They are designed to give you the correct position.

I am pretty OCD and I have to see myself to make sure I'm doing all the moves right... than again, my workout is bellydancing... having a mirror around helps a lot.

I don't use a mirror and I train people not to use one. To me a mirror can become a source of distraction and it's epically true in a crowded gym. When you are doing something like a max weight dead lift or squat, the last thing you want is a distraction.

sure when doing pushups or pullups a mirror wouldn't be necesary... but like when doing curls or squats.. do you use one?

No need u know when u r doing it right, Squats def no there is no need to see, curls meh, sometimes I like to use it for flys and skull crushers just so evey so often I can look at the mirror while in doing them and check my form
