Doctors advice?

Thanks for your time firstly, i have a close relative that has been informed she has cancer of the breast that is "Agressive" she is only 42 and i was wondering if the language of "agressive" in medical terms is really a way of saying there is no hope? id sincereley appreciate your thoughts and advice!

Well the worst thing is that she has gone through IVF in order to have her dream which is a child now only 4 and i really at am a loss what to say to her or my auntie? life can be so bloody cruel!

it doesn't mean there isn't hope. my mom was diagnosed with the same thing. she was 51 at the time. jst recently. just means you have to act fast and fight hard to try and stop if before it gets worse.
im sorry to hear about that. breaks my heart every time i hear of someone with that...

Well im sorry for your situation to, honestly if it was just you alone the thats life, but i can't imagine feeling or knowing your at risk of not seeing your baby grow up! im truthfully gutted for her but dont want to be like all sorry because positive is key

I'm not a doctor but aggressive can mean that it grows fast and can move quicker and spread faster. Now that they know they can do all they can so it's not hopeless. She still has chance and hopefully things will turn out for the best.

Aggressive cancers are a problem as they can metastasise very quickly. but the real problem is, has the cancer already metastasised? The only way to tell is through a sentinel node biopsy.

If you want a clear answer on this, ask your doctor NOT GAG!!!

I respect your comments and do understand that its probably not the best place to ask, however i was really more enquiring about the verbal terms doctors use to see if there is a possible hopeful outcome? i understand your thoughts all the same

"Aggressive" and "cancer" together in the same sentence is not a good thing hear.
Whether there's hope is way too circumstantial...

Aggressive doesn't always mean fatal. It usually just means the the cancer has grown/spread quickly. Is it a good thing? No, not by any means. But is there still hope? Yes definitely still hope :)
