Serious question, my brother has heart issues can he be punched on the chest?

So my brother had a valve surgery when he was 5 years old now he's 14. And he's normal but my question is, can he take punches to his chest? He gets into fights with guys and they end up punching and hitting him he does too. But is that bad can he die? I need serious answers please.

Um yeah. Make sure he avoids getting into fights and taking any direct hits to the chest especially around the heart. The chances that something bad can happen increases a lot with any heart surgery. Although it was a long time ago there will still be effects of a weak heart. If something hits him hard in just the right spot then yes he can die although it is uncommon unless he had a severe case.

Be careful that can really hurt him. Actually that can hurt anyone. It could break a rib and puncture the lungs making him have trouble breathing.

I told him to stop, but he always ends up in fights. Thats why I'm so worried, is it bad for his heart?

It's really only a question that his doctors can answer. Tell your parents about the fighting if they don't know about it already.
