okay so I read on bodybuilding. com you are supposed to squeeze your glutes and abs while pressing. Question is how do you squeeze your abs and breathe in and out at the same time?

Your core, specifically your lower back is probably too weak. Do this workout as often as you can and you should eventually notice less pain and difficulty engaging your core during shoulder presses. Also, for now, if you feel the pain, lower the weight until your body can support proper form. Lifting heavy with shit form is counter-productive.
Also, you can circumvent your core by doing them seated, but that makes the exercise far less functional. Your choice.
you probably bend over backwards. have a natural, straight posture "squeezing glutes and abs" doesn´t mean like go full bower. just have them stabilize your torso.
by the way: this is counter intuitive but lower back pain usually originates from insufficiently trained lower back muscles. it´s probably the best to see a chiropractor or at least train your lower back more.
its true, I don't do deadlifts at all. But my abs are strong :). Good info, its like you work for a gym.
yeah most people skip lower back training, since you don´t see it. if you´re not that experienced yet, i really have to advertize you from doing deadlifts. especially since you allready have back issues.
deadlifts really depend on proper execution which even pros tend to lack because they get sloppy over time.
i suggest you do this, since it won´t strain on your back too much cdn-media-1.lifehack.org/.../hyperextensions.jpg
i don´t work for a gym it´s just a hobby of mine ;)

I don't know. I never do that. I just breathe in on the down and out on the up.
Do them seated, if you're getting back pain.
