It's not that abs on girls aren't sexy it's just that they don't really do anything extra for me. This girl is already pretty cute. If she gained a few pounds and you couldn't see her abs anymore she'd still be pretty cute. I've never been a big fan of this whole muscle fad. I see my abs everyday they're just there. Everybody has muscles. You couldn't stand, walk, or do anything if you didn't. So seeing a girl who's cut just tells me they either go to the gym a lot or they're like me and for some reason just have decent muscle definition naturally. I'm not impressed by either of those things. The parts that attract me to women are the things that make her look feminine. How her butt curves, her hips, her bust, her facial features, these are the things that naturally catch my eye. Her calf muscle, biceps, and abs just feel like structural necessities. Abs are equivalent to like her elbow to me. I'd rather see some glutes or boobs. But since boobs are mostly fat it's rare to see an abs boobs combo so bye bye abs.

You know the saying abs are made in the kitchen?

That's because your bodyfat needs to be quite low to have visible abs. Which ok for men but women need more fat to have healthy children. I think most men will rate women with a boyfriend of 18 - 25% as most attractive, which is actually quite healthy. You'll probably start seeing the outline of abs at the lower end of that but you don't really see "real" abs until a good bit below that, which is not ideal for women.

So I'm guessing that's big part of why. Super low bodyfat is not as attractive in women as it is in men

Most thing it's to masculine and they rather have a chick look more feminine. That and the muscles would make them feel like the chick might be stronger than some. Which some guys don't like that.

Ladies who have abs, generally tend to have a low percentage of body fat, making their face a lot more aesthetic and attractive as well!

I feel as though girls are more attracted to girls with abs than guys are.

There are several reasons. For starters women carry more body fat naturally (about 10%) so for guys to get abs all they have to do is eat healthy food and preform some kind of athletic activities, but women literally need to be malnourished to have abs. When women drop down to these very low body fat percentages, their fertility and immune system is disrupted more than men. So abs on a woman evolutionary suggests starvation, disease, and infertility. A more arbitrary reason is that it just looks to masculine and guys don’t like that. Note what I said about body fat also applies to the “hour glass” figure, for me and I think most guys the ideal female is more pear shaped with body fat on the higher end. Not obese but a little bit of belly.

Lol, cause girls dont need to be strong. Its all psychological. Strength and athleticism is not a factor men consider when choosing a mate. This is how its always been, and this is how our subconscious likes it. Its just not attractive. And actually, its unattractive. Not because abs are unattractive, but because a flat stomach is attractive, so by not having a flat stomach, you become less attractive. This would be considered more attractive than a chubby stomach, i guess.

Yeah, not really a fan :/. I like slight tone, which isn't hard to do is a more natural for a woman. It's harder building up those abs, woman just aren't really meat to get with that based on how they were made.
