Any advice from runners would be appreciated.
Why do I have a painful heaviness in my legs while running lately?

Take it easy. I do cardio now but it's really bit healthy for the body to do everyday. The body begins depleting cortisol the moment it feels it's being pushed only for cardio.
Compare a sprinter to a long distance runner. There's a reason why long distance runners run into far more health problems and tend to look drained up

I'm not sure how long you've been running but long distance running too much can make you lose muscle. Perhaps that's why your joints are hurting more.
Focus on high intensity interval training if you want results quicker. Studies have shown that this. .. along with a number of other disciplines can activate your hgh to over 400%
Do you jog every day, or jog every other day?
This happened to me, too. I found that when I jogged every other day, I was able to jog much farther and better. Lost weight, too.
We are not supposed to run everyday...
at first, our bodies are not ready for it... and later, when we do have the strength and stamina for it...
the miles without rest, can really take a toll on us.
Shin splints, plantar fasciitis, stress fractures..
How far are you running?
At what pace?
Are you wearing new and proper shoes?

These links will really help you get the right shoes.
Drink lots of water and make sure to stretch before and after running it makes a huge difference. Also wear real running shoes not sure how you run but when running you should be running on the tips of your feet as your heel should never hit the ground. Feels weird at first but you do get use to it.

You're overworking your legs. You should probably mix it up a bit. Do the running every other day or every 2 days and on your off days maybe work some other part of your body. Also maybe incorporate some rest days in there too.
No problem.
watch out for that high impact stuff, it's bad for joints and connective tissue
yes man, no one exercises the same muscles every day. I go jogging once in every 2 days.
On the days when I am not jogging I do exercises at home or go to the gym. It really is enough exercise even if you do nothing on your rest days. As long as you consume less calories than the amount your body requires to perform its functions you'll be burning fat ^^
fatigue. Your body needs more time to rebound
- me a runner with **** tons of medical disorders
Could be your shins. When I run for awhile mine start to hurt as well.
