Are sports a guy's domain?

Is it a turn off when a girl is all into sports? I was talking to a friend of mine and he said he doesn't like it when girls know EVERY single thing about a sport because he wants to be able to teach her something. He said it also makes her seem like one of the guys. He is a dominant male type so I guess he likes his women more feminine?

What do you guys think?

There are more tomboys out there than you expect. Quite likely that's why they all have boyfriends. They can keep up with what the guys are talking about when it comes to sports. If sports were still a 'guy's domain' there wouldn't be so many famous female sports reporters on ESPN and other networks. Your friend is an insecure about his masculinity.

I have a bad habit of flirting with girls in sports bars especially during the nhl regular season and during the playoffs, well everyone gets ignored. But having a common interest like sports is turn on, that's a whole lot more time we could hang out together and both of us enjoy that time, not just me enjoy it and her tolerate it.

I like it, I'd be happy to date someone that would enjoy doing that it means that if I wanted to watch a sport competition or something that I wouldn't be leaving her out. Plus I used to like a girl who was quite athletic and she had a great body and was such a fun person :P

If sport is a common interest between the male and the female, how is that a bad thing?

Although, I wouldn't want a girl who was into sports personally, Because I'm not even into sport myself ;)
