    Drink plenty of water and don't worry about the weight. Focus on losing fat. Most importantly, don't be afraid of weight lifting exercises. Most girls think they will become bulky, but in fact it will help you tone down.

    oh and to be a little more specific stay away from: Soda, sugar, and white "enriched" carbs (pizza, white bread, pasta, pastries, fries, chips)

      The reason I asked your age is because, while developing, you REALLY do not want to restrict calories too much. Micronutrients are vital to your health right now.

      If you were to ask my advice, I'd tell you to change *what* you eat, not necessarily how much. Only eat whole fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, and don't consume any added sugars. If it didn't come outta the ground or didn't have a momma, don't touch it.

      Eat until you're full. Drink plenty of water (up to a gallon a day), and start exercising some more and have fun outside.

      I guarantee you'll lose weight and you'll feel MUCH better.

      A tip about bread: make sure that the package says "100% Whole Wheat" -or- "100% Whole Grain" on the packages.

      If it doesn't have that "100%" on there, then you're not getting all of the fiber and nutrients from the food.
