When Does Skinny Become Anorexic?

Do you look down on people with anorexia? Would you end ANY type of relationship if you found out after the fact?

weight isn't the critical thing. nutrition is. people get wrapped up in how a person looks. an underweight person can nutritional;y be much heat;their than a 200 pound person living on chips or a 150 pound person not eating or obviously an obese person.

low weight in itself is not dangerous its the lack of nutrition occurring from people just trying to lose weight. if you're eating enough and eating properly your weight isn't a bi deal.

a;so most people considered anorexic are just mildl;y thin, not 50 pounds the way it gets advertised. few people extremely thin, and for people who are it can be many reasons orthger than wanting to be thin. there are many diseases that cause low weight there are also metabolism, s that are just fast,. its really no ones business and the way thin people get witch hunted is pretty sick. i know heavy people get insulted and alienated. its not easier its just different.

thin people get attacked. if they are guys for not being muscly 'men' if they are women for not upholding the baby making obligation.. i think the attack on anorexic girls is another way of trying to control worminess sexuality. one of the main criteria is sustain of periods. which interestingly, transgender also have but are given hormone replacement.

in my opinion as long as your nutrition is good i think people should be whoever weight they want and everyone should piss off. some people genuinely like being light. there quality of life is better. more energy better focus better resistance too stress peaceful outlook. being thin doesn't automatically men you're a slave to fashion industry. it can be a spiritual way of life. anyhow in general people should piss off.

a person having unhealthy habits needs help whatever the issue. low weight dissent automatically mean 'needs help[' anyhow help doesn't work unless you want it. forced upon someone and they'll fight back often making their problem, worse.

as a friend its not your job to hunt out 'problems' you should be supportive that way your friend will feel comfortable confiding in you in the event they need help. and people have ways of communicating they want help.

anyhow to answer your question when bmi and body fat (vc they are interested in menstruation) goes below a certain level and a person has obsessive thoughts of weight taking up most of their day interfering with daily activities and obligations.

30% of 'anorexics' are men, but they are not talked about bc they dont stop their periods.

Anorexia isn't a body type, it's an eating disorder. A person can look like they're a 'normal' shape but still suffer from anorexia. It's a mental illness which makes people compelled to starve themselves.

Looking down on mentally ill people makes no more sense than looking down on people who suffer from physical illnesses.

If I loved a guy who was anorexic I hope I'd stand by him and support him (although it would be incredibly hard as anorexia can be really debilitating and is one of the biggest killers out of mental illnesses I think. It would be hard to have to see him in so much pain)

not always starving themselves but could but just not wanting to eat no motivation or want, i go through it everyday. i just dont want to.

I'd probably notice that they're TOO thin BEFORE I get into a relationship with them. They typically just don't have the shape I'm looking for even at the start.

Anyways, BMI 18.5 is the lowest for a "healthy" weight, anything under that is underweight. While BMI is imperfect, it's still a somewhat okay standard in that regard.

Also, anorexia is a disorder, while being skinny is just a type of shape and a lack of fat.

You don't always notice it, there are people overweight who are anorexic.
