I know the feeling but it's not only healthier but more effective to work out and sleep well. Seriously.
I used to smoke cigarettes and at one point a couple years ago I was drinking almost every night. It was a bad cycle because the unhealthy lifestyle made me feel shitty, which made me not want to do anything but smoke and drink. Don't fall into that lifestyle man. Don't fucking let that happen.
Now, I don't smoke and I rarely drink. I don't work out a tonne but I play sports a few nights a week and have a quick job on the treadmill most afternoons when I get home. I'm a million times happier than I was two years ago. And my job has only gotten more demanding in that time.

Yeah I definitely know what your feeling but I wouldn't turn to drinking, weed, or cigs! Maybe try meditation or yoga! It always works for me 😊 Or buy a puppy haha
The stress of life gets to all of us! However, I personally I don't drink when stressed (and quit smoking a few years ago), I don't want to associate drinking with negative feelings. I want alcohol to be associated with fun and enjoyment. :)
No, focus on your personal health man! And those habits will only create more stress in your life over time.

I have way too much pressure at the moment, can't even sleep (only slept 7 hours in 3 days) and never felt like smoking or drinking.
Same last year I had diagnosed depression and anxiety (too much problems) but I didn't want to indulge in those... My bestfriend however (we were going through the same things) smoked weed/cigarettes drank but stopped as soon as she found out it was only worsening the case.
Stay strong and resist the temptation 😊 Remember after the rain comes the sun, and those alternatives are just temporary illusions , they will won't make your problems disappear, face your fears and struggles, and hopefully in not so long they will only be memories β€οΈI've felt that way sometimes. After finishing a stressful assignment or stressful week some weed and music / a movie or going out with friends and getting drunk helps to blow off steam or relax. I don't turn to that for relief anymore. Working out, reading, journaling, therapy, and watching tv helps me. While smoking or drinking does help to feel more relaxed in the short term it hurts you in the sense that you can't build healthy coping habits for handling stress and can turn into abusing those products which makes everything seriously worse, of course.
Yes. When I feel this way, I go to the gym. I think about how upset at myself I am for wanting to ruin my body by bingeing on anything.
I use those thoughts to do 120lbs on Machine Leg presses, 110lbs weighted squats, and then usually by sprinting for about 10 minutes.
At the end, my muscles are on fire and I feel great.I've been down the drinking road in college. I would wake up and not where I was or how I got there. I was so stressed out and depressed. I call those my dark days. I don't ever want to go back to them. Life is hard. And sometimes it feels like the only relief is at the bottom of a bottle. I can tell you that it's not.
