It hurts to stand on it?

My knee gave out. I was walking and suddenly the area where my knee is located had twisted the wrong way and I fell on it. It is swollen and pink and its when I put pressure on it. Should I get it checked or just keep icing it. What could be wrong?

Well I know that is exactly what happened when I sprained my knee in wrestling a stood up and turned my leg the wrong and me knee went out. It turned pink and was really swollen and I couldn't walk. When I went to the emergency room they said it was sprained and gave me crutches to use for a week. And it took ten weeks to fully recover
