I actually hate that stuff, I don't use it anymore. I was taking NO Xplode maybe 5 or 6 years ago, and I was going up in weight almost every week, I was definitely seeing some strength improvements. But I hated the pins-and-needles feeling I'd get, plus I swear I almost had a heart attack once. When I was using the Xplode a lot, into my second container, I was seeing gains for sure, but I was closing at the bar I managed at the time, alone after everyone had left, and all of a sudden, I felt like my heart skipped like three beats. My chest got tight, I started to panic, and it was just like my chest seized up, just for like three seconds. Like I pounded on my chest and I seriously thought I was going to collapse with no one there to help me. Wicked scary. Fortunately the feeling passed, but I never took any of that stuff again. I'm not a competitive athlete or a bodybuilder anymore, I'm just looking to be fit, and heart attacks/palpitations have no place in my definition of fitness. I don't know if it was the Xplode for sure, but that's the only time it happened and it never happened again, so it's the prime suspect. I'd recommend not using it, or at least use it sparingly and/or cycle on and off of it👍

There's a lot of things in there you could be reacting to. Most likely though it's the flavoring. If you want to make a good pre-workout at home (and it'll save you lots of money in the long run because you get way more for your money), get yourself individual containers or creatine monohydrate, glutamine, beta alanine, and caffeine. These are the only common ingredients found in pre-workouts that have actually been clinically proven to have any beneficial effect. The rest is just fluff and bioscience nonsense. Plus then you'll be able to cut out whatever it is in it that's making you sick.
I've gotten sick from pre-workout before. It only happened when I took it while tired, dehydrated, or hungry. It was especially bad for hunger. If I hadn't eaten that day it would pretty much always happen. When I felt good it would make me feel better but when I felt bad it would make me feel worse.
My guess is it would encourage my body draw on reserves of energy it just didn't have, thus resulting in me feeling like complete shit. What's in it. There's a school of thought which basically suggests that anything highly processed is basically toxic. I have a lot of sympathy for it.
Basically, what you described was detoxification. You put something toxic in your body... Your body reacted accordingly.I don't take it anymore... I used to and you know something is not quite right when you use the tingly itchy feeling on your face as an indication that the product has kicked in and it's time to workout... plus, excessive use can play havoc with your kidneys as creatine is something that your body normally generates anyway... I just drink water beforehand now...
Dont use that garbage. A simple coffee is all you need and good food for energy. Its got stuff in there thats obviously not to react well with everyone
It all depends on the preworkout. Try a different one like prejym
