Second or third night this week it happens, if I dont fall asleep at the moment I get sleepy then I stay up wide awake.
Would appreciate advice on this one.

Trending & News What are your emotions when you wake up, and also, do you wake up at the same time every night? Do you get to sleep straight away? This will tell me a lot. But generally, I'd say that insomnia is related to poor eating and emotional habits. Do you keep a routine? Do you eat late at night? Do you eat a lot for your last meal and do you eat very potent foods? Because the upshot of that will be the body working away, energy focused on digesting all that. This is why they say to make one's last meal the smallest. It prepares one for easy wind down at the end of a busy day. Maybe you don't have to make it small, but don't make it huge!
If you live in the northern hemisphere, we're in summer, the season of fire, ie activity, when one gets *too* excited, has lots of thoughts about the potentiality of things you can do, and one's energy burns up quickly. So when it is burned up, it takes a while to recover. Is that the kind of thing you're experiencing, or something else? Is it like an overheating? Describe dude, describe!
Lol allrigh describe, well if I dont go to sleep by 2 then I stay awake. Emotions, who knows, there is stress. My eating habits haven't been perfect the last few days, however when I eat super healthy then I sleep even less because I have so much energy.
I believe I can't relax sometimes, something to do with that. I dont eat late at night.
I used to be a terrible insomniac when I was in my 20s. I think part of it was because I had some terrible allergies from time to time (sneezing, itchy eyes). Then I started taking a shot or two of whiskey from time to time to help me sleep -- dulls the mind and does the trick. Don't take too much (a shot or two should be fine) or you wake up with a hangover which sucks, but it can be better than being exhausted and out of it for the entire day following.
Don't lie idle and think un-necessary. Get up, do some exercise. If you like reading or writing, focus yourself to it.

This happens to me quite a bit. My solution is to stay up the entire night, make it through the next day, and then go to bed at a normal time. Fixes your sleeping schedule, and once you get out and start your day you don't focus on the sleep deprivation as much as you would think.
Tried any of those relaxtion/sleep/self-hypnosis videos on YouTube? I've found them to work sometimes. Either that or I'll imagine a story in my head and usually drift off before I finish it.. But that becomes really hard when there's something heavy on my mind.
if you have some bananas then take one or better two bananas and cut them a little from both sides and boil them for 10 minutes and then drink that water
I tend to watch a show called the joy of painting; it's an artist who paints nature and has a soothing voice; look it up on youtube
turn off your pc and go to bed
