What does being sedated at the dentist feel like?

Next week I am getting my wisdom teeth out. I am getting an iv sedative and I've been told it may or may not put me to sleep depending on how I react.

Im just wondering how long it takes to start feeling the effects once they have injected you?
Can someone describe how it feels when the sedative starts taking affect?

I've had general anaesthetic before but I've never been sedated before so im a bit nervous.

Is there anything I can do to not say stupid shit to my boyfriend afterwards or will I have no control of myself?

I don't know Lol I just felt tired and that's all I remember... I knocked out easily. You'll have no control! My mom took a video of me after I got my wisdom teeth out and I said the stupidest shit ever. I hope everything goes well!❤ wisdom teeth hurt so bad!

Standard sedation you feel already after 10 sec. If feels like a blown up lip. Putting you to sleep is immediate.

Your mouth feels frozen. Depending on how strong the sedative is you'll either not feel a thing as the teeth are being removed and will just feel a bit sore after or you'll feel some of the pain.
