But running in the morning is a worse than running in the day/evening, just to let you know
Also, I wouldn't due to the lack of street lights and sidewalks, which makes me very hittable by cars. Also, I sometimes take walks at night and I've had my fair share of encounters with raccoons and deer and almost got chased by a bear once 😑
If you like it cold, silence and do it in a well lite park it's good. If I was a girl I wouldn't. I'm in NJ and there have been plenty of girls getting sexually assaulted murdered in NY recently.
During the fall? Yes.
Traffic and the amount of people out at night is pretty much dead. Maybe a few cars but rarely any people.

Maybe if that place is properly illuminated it could be nice, but if there's not enough light I'd be afraid to get an injury for example due to a tree root or a hole in the ground that I'd have seen during the day.
And running on the street, where there are cars, is not really nice :-(
I went biking in the dark around this time last year. I was on a dark trail with a lot of trees overhead so there was very little natural light. It was not that much fun... you couldn't see much of anything and people coming the other way are just a single point of blinding light.
Did you not hear the story of the woman in New York who use to jog in the dark and ended up getting raped in a field? She was really pretty too.
Nope. My neighborhood doesn't even have sidewalks lmao. Running in the dark here is asking to get hit by a car hahaha

I don't mind where I am is very urban and well lit - Weirdly being a townie, I get scared more if I was in the dark in the middle of the country with no street lights, I know makes no sense.
I live near forests and there's, no joke, been people that have ran in there avoiding the cops. Plus the damn mountains lions
I always go running in the dark, I hate running in the day time or in crowded areas because I hate people watching/staring at me when I work out.

when Pokémon go came out I was bored and went at 4am outside to go to a Pokestop... walked through a small forest part with no lights... that was a bit scary haha
In the Dark? No. Run in the Rain for fun sure. Then go home and strip and run to shower.
This question leaves out people who only run inside a gym (on a track or a treadmill) not because they're afraid to run in the dark but because the gym has air conditioning.
Anyway, I live in a very safe town, so danger is not a problem. Still, I wouldn't run late at night; strenuous exercise can interfere with sleep.

Scary. Especially in areas where no one is around. Just can't help it. Slim runner in tights does not look like a predator more like pray. Recently I met boars with young and nearly run into them. Was scared as hell ;-).

i think i would like to try it. the weather is certainly nicer, and it's quieter too.

No, can't run in the dark cause I got poor balance of the central nervous system so that would be hard for me.
I love walking in the dark. I always go in the evening or after midnight. there's a forest behind my house so its perfect for walking with the dog as well.
yes, I always run at night, it's cool and no sun in your face plus no one else is there, I go to the local track and sneak through the gate
I don't mind if its along streets, but never in a park.
