Do Shape-Ups/Easy Tones Help Tone Up/Lose Weight?

Do they really help tone up or to lose weight?

And if yes,do they help get rid of leg/thigh muscles?I'm trying to lose muscle...

Would they help create a space in between my thighs?

The shape up seems unsafe in my opinion because I'd like to wear the shoes while running,but the shape doesn't look too safe.
