If you have no medical issues with your weight you dontd have to starve yourself. Even if you have medical issues with your weight then I think you need a doctor or something to set up a diet plan for you. Wayy overrated, because we're in the era where most women are finally starting to fully except their beautiful bodies no matter the shape or size or thin waist or not. Whats the point of having a stick skinny waist? It doesn't make a girl more appealing.
As long as you have normal bodyfat %, you shouldn't give a fuck. Not everyone can be athletic or have runway model like figure. It takes a lot of commitment for that kinda thing. As long as your vitals are normal, you're good.

That's pretty much what it tells me as well, that spending more time and effort into a smaller waist rather than with their loved one/s is more important to them...
You can't blame them. I was a victim of this slim waist hype too, even though I wasn't unhealthy. It sucks. I fucking ruined my health in order to look better and it is still one but regret of my life.
Yeah, I'm not denying that many women have been victims of sorts of this, I had made a generalisation without considering the full extent but yeah, I do know that many women and girls have fallen victim to such things like those appetite pills and starving themselves and things like that because of societal figures and 'celebrities' and the businesses that sell those kind of products. Many young impressionable girls fall victim to these kind of things because they are made to think that it's the only option they have, but it's not, I see some influential people who are fighting this so that gives me some hope, maybe it will get better over time...
Yeah mostly because a majority of people dont have a slim waist unless they're a kid / teenager and even then it's only about 50/50. there's nothing wrong with having an average or curvy build. Most people are. It's the norm. Striving to look younger, thinner, tighter than you are is just a waste of time

don't be absurd. Nobody wants the waist to be freakishly thin and corsets are not in style anymore. Hip to waist ratio is what men are programmed to notice okay? This is well documented.

FYI I do workout and people are constantly telling me how I am very fit, and I don't have a 'slim' waist it is just in the normal range for my height. Plenty of female athletes don't necessarily have slim waist.
No one is telling young girls to starve? Wrong! With the media constantly pushing girls into certain miracle diets and pills and surgery and all, and plenty of girls just being shamed for eating, they are not left with any option but to starve themselves.
