Dude, it's a doctor, why would it be wrong? They're professionals.
When I was a kid, my doctors were all women. Is it wrong? No. They're professionals. It's uncomfortable to get naked in front of a stranger, same sex or not.

I don't think it's wrong, people have the right to see a male or female doctor as they may be uncomfortable with a certain gender looking at them.

Would you consider it awkward for your GI doctor to be male. Most people don't care about the gender of their GI doctor. So it shouldn't be different for an OBGYN he's a doctor and as long as you are his patient it has to remain professional.
