A thirty pound weight loss would be noticable on anybody unless you're wearing oversized clothes and hiding your body.
You should be quite proud of starting your weight loss journey. Why don't you add walking or other exercise to improve your mood. You need to get out and get exercise. Sunlight exposure helps improve your mood too.
There are examples of how much your body tone and more weight loss will occur if you walk 20-30 minutes a day. It'll take a few months, but exercise is essential for better mood and weight maintenance or continued weight loss.

I think the issue is that it's not always noticeable or that people are afraid of offending. Telling someone they've lost weight is admitting they are heavy to begin with.
That being said I hope you continue for both your health and your self esteem. 30 lbs is an accomplishment you should be proud of. Another 30 and you're probably going to start hearing a lot more comments (though really it's only your opinion of yourself that should matter).
I am not sure what you did to lose the weight but it is a great accomplishment.
If you just went on a strict diet and lost weight fast, your body might look flabby and loose. I don't know how active you are but exercise is almost as important as diet in a weight loss program.
