+1 yOK- let's do the math.
One kg equals 2.2046 pounds.
To lose one pound, you need to burn 3,500 calories more than you eat.
To lose 1 kg, you need to drop 2.2046 * 3,500 cal = 7716.1 calories.
If you fast for two weeks, that is 14 days.
7716.1 cal / 14 = 551.15 calories per day!
That means you had been eating only 551.15 calories per day? Unlikely.
And even with the update, that means you were only eating 1,102.3 calories per day. While not impossible, it is hard to get a balanced diet eating under 1,500 cals/day.
See your doctor and get the OK to start a new exercise and dietary plan.
Start with exercises first. Do aerobic, core, and strength training (resistance) work. A KG of muscle burns more calories than a kg of fat, and it takes up less room in the body, slimming one down. After a 6-8 weeks of exercise, start to modify your diet per your doctor's instructions. Portion control is the simplest- eat half- size portions and you consume only half the calories! If you are considering any sort of keto or other reduced-carbohydrate diet, please see your doctor. He/she may want to have you take an electrolyte supplement along with PLENTY of water!06 Reply- +1 y
I already outlined that in my first answer, but here are some more details. Losing a pound per week or a kilo per two weeks is a realistic target. If you want to lose 1 kg every two weeks, then you must consume 551.15 calories less per day than you do now, burn up 551.51 more calories per day than you do now, or some combination of those totaling a daily calorie deficit of 551.15 calories.

You can ADD 300 calories of exercise and AVOID 700 calories of food, or you can ADD 510 calories of exercise and AVOID 490 calories of food: whatever works for you, as long as it adds up to a 1,000 calorie shortfall!

Easy jogging is good for about 250-400 calories an hour!
You would have to add three hours of jogging to whatever exercise you are already doing.

If you fast that way, your weight will plummet steadily in ways that are unmatched but mostly from water weight and followed by undesirable forms of weight loss like muscle loss which will negatively affect your BMR/RMR and TDEE.

One of the reasons I think us guys have an easier time with getting/staying lean is that fewer of us do stupid things like 2+ week fasts. We're not trying to become anorexic. We're trying to become strong and healthy. The women who have the easiest time getting/staying lean also tend to have that focus.19 Reply- +1 y
Especially I think anyone going on a weight loss journey needs to understand water weight first and foremost. I've seen people try keto and cheat on a weekend with high-carbs only to find they gained 10lbs over a single weekend and panic to the point of wanting to give up. That's water weight. If you go from super low carb to high carb all of sudden, your body is going to temporarily retain about 3 times the water weight per gram of carb. That's not 10lbs gained in one weekend from fat!

So one of my top suggestions for women who struggle with this is to stop measuring their progress so much by the scale. Find a pull-up bar and measure your progress by how many pull-ups or chin-ups you can do. If you can't do a single one, start by seeing how long you can hang from the bar. That will motivate you to get not only lighter but stronger, and it can prevent you from doing things that make you lighter but weaker.

I don't make abs/vascularity my primary measure though since I don't mind carrying some extra body fat if it helps me to stay stronger. Those super shredded competitive bodybuilder types at single digits of body fat often get ill (ex: easily catching colds) during competition season. They're usually healthiest and strongest off-season when they carry a little more body fat... and for women especially, women need some extra body fat to stay fertile and healthy.

My number one go-to is stair climbing every other day. I try to keep that up no matter how lazy I get. Then pull-ups are my second. If I'm really motivated, I'll go to the gym once or twice a week for a whole summer, but I don't do that every year.
Then for nutrition, I don't have any strict dietary restrictions. I just gradually whittled away my worst habits. I found what works best for me is high protein so sometimes I'll eat as much as 300g of protein in one day (although I average more like 150g). Then for carbs, I don't go low-carb but I tend to naturally cycle carbs like I'll have a high-carb day followed by a low-carb day, and I mostly try to favor high-fiber carbs like fruits or beans instead of low-fiber like white rice or white bread. - +1 y
When I go to the gym, I mostly prioritize the free weights and barbells over machines. I feel like I can get most of what I can get from machines with calisthenics, but one problem with calisthenics is that it's too difficult to resist far more than our own body weight (my weighted vest only goes up to 50kg). So for gym I favor the powerlifts like barbell row, benchpress, deadlift, squats, and overhead press with very long rest intervals (up to 5 mins rest between sets) at 85% 1RM (5x5 up to singles). That helps me to correct and notice muscle imbalances since those weak points show up if you lift close to your 1RM.

I especially recommend stair-climbing. It starts off like moderate-intensity aerobic cardio but quickly works towards anaerobic, and it doesn't take much motivation to start doing it since we do it all the time... yet after just 10-15 mins of doing that, I think most people will reach lung-exploding and muscle-screaming levels:

False. To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than what you take in. As of late, my goal has been eating 1500 calories a day, burning 2200.
The average person burns 1800 calories a day doing nothing.
Continue to burn more calories than you take in, and you will start to lose weight.00 Reply

That is fucking stupid. The only way you should lose weight is by healthy diet and regular exercise. Starving yourself is literally retarded. Like you need mental help if starving yourself is an option in your retarded head. Get therapy if you think starving yourself is an option you fucking retard.

+1 yJust burn more calories than you consume
In my restaurant days I started off eating 2,000 a day and ended looking like as a friend put it 'an extra from Schindler's List'
I climbed to 5,000 a day and was still as skinny as a rake for the rest of that year00 Reply 734 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Not my experience.
I did it in January and lost 20 lbs, 5 weeks.
Of course everyone is different.
But losing just 2 lbs in a week sounds a bit light.00 Reply- 581 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.
+1 yOk so it takes 1 week of fasting to loose 1 kg. I don't think that means you don't eat at all.
