I have the TV on and there is a series which I have never watched, but it's about a family who owns a ranch, I think, and there are horses so I haven't changed the channel.

I looked up the description for it and it says:
"Tim goes through a midlife crisis, but instead of buying a hot car, he buys a hot horse."
hahahaha

Thus, this question.

Be truthful, or be creative, or be hypothetical. It's up to you.

I'll take a hot horse. Sounds great. An Arabian gelding, please.
But a brand new wardrobe would also be good and invigorating.
But on a more serious note, I didn't go through a midlife crisis, exactly, but did a crisis/meltdown, and long story short, I changed just about everything in my life except the person I'm with. It was hell.
And he went through a midlife crisis (it seems to be more common with men), and he didn't buy anything specifically, but we did have many, many, challenging questions about career, family, purpose, and mortality. So yeah. This concept is real.
