Why is it only Skinny VS Curvy when it comes to modelling and society in general?

I am a photographer and take photographs of women of all sizes. However I have noticed that the media either applauds skinny gym fit models or curvy models who are just average sized models in my oppinion. There is no middle ground in mainstream media. If you get women floatinf between the two then they seem to get hangups as they don't fit into those brackets. Mostly because they don't look like their influencer gym freak bikini model idols. Yet they don't want to put on any weight for fear of being labeled this term curvy. Yet to me Curvy shouldn't define fat. To me a fat person is someone who is lazy bedridden and has lived a lifestlye through no fault of their own. I know that contradicts my philosyphy that all women can be beautiful, but there has to be a limit on it else obesity will be seen as normal. The other end of the spectrum is if you surpass being typical average size defined by the media then you are told you are big and beautiful, but in reality to me curvy is average size and it is just a flashy term for having a slightly bigger butt. This then distorts reality and makes people think being curvy is them being fat. So they either embrace it or they get depressed because what in actual fact is average size makes them think they are fat and not this ideology of what a perfect body should look like.

When I do photography I look for natural beauty not weather you can show your abs. If you get naked for me or not it's about telling a story or being creative and I consider anyone for a shoot and hate that the media labels women and men for that matter on how you should look and feel.

I am a skinny ugly guy according to the media yet in reality I feel normal. I am not a gym freak it's just naturally who I am. Just be yourself. You are not out to prove the world anything. You should only please yourself and a handfull of others who make you smile. If you happen to get famous or impact a wider audience good for you but that shouldn't be your goal.
