Are frequent painful uti’s common?

Since my boyfriend and I had gotten back together I’ve been having painful uti’s and I don’t know if that is normal or not?

It’s not normal, I also experienced this a couple of years back and turns out it’s bc my previous UTI wasn’t fully resolved (they were resistant to the antibiotics that I was given) so it kept reoccurring no matter how hard I try to keep everything clean.

You definitely need to pee and wash up asap after sex though (especially if you’re using condoms or lube), also don’t use the same finger between your vagina and asshole if you’re into butt play - same goes with anal. No double dipping.

Obvious not normal if they aren’t occurring while single or not having sex. He would be the cause of them, so he needs to clean down there.

He does clean, he keeps that the cleanest part of him lol

Then you need to practice hygiene before and after sex too. You should clean and make sure you pee before and after sex.
