I am currently pregnant and about 6 months along. In light of the ongoing formula shortage my doctor gave me drugs to enhance breast milk production since my last two pregnancies I had trouble producing. the effect has been astonishing I am producing nearly 60 ounces of breast milk a day. way way more than with my last two pregnancies and I am still months out from birthing. To make a long story short I have 3 friends who are all postpartum and were on formula, since I am as productive as a dairy cow right now I offered to pump for them. however 3 growing babies need lots of milk and since I am now on maternity leave they have taken to leaving them with me for the day so I can breast feed them directly... at first it was bizarre having some one else babies suckling my breasts. Our doctor say that it is ok since I am healthy and the babies do not need any special diets and a great way to keep my milk flowing other wise I would have to pump constantly. I have however... become kind of attached to them, as much as I have my own children I think. I am kind of surprised the bonding occurred with other womens babies. even when they come to take them in the evening later at night when I start thinking about them again my milk will let down and I start lactating to the point I have to get up and get a towel. It has also changed how I feel about my own body. these three little tiny people depend on my body for life and I think it has created a bond that might last forever. Is it something any of you have done, being a wet nurse or is it something you think you could do? Its not illegal and so long as you are healthy it is completely safe for the baby.
I donate milk but would never breastfeed someone else's baby unless it was starving and needed my milk right then.

Glad to see that you are putting your milk to good use. How you do that is only your business.
Breast feeding wouldn’t be as intimate as carrying someone else’s child for nine months. As in being a uterus for someone else’s child.

I'd consider donating the milk but not giving direct to a child that's not mine.
If the other mom is cool with it. You like the sensation of breastfeeding? You like feeling someone latch on to your nipples?
Aww. That's really sweet. Kinda weird, yeah; but I guess it's normal.
