It is recommended that you not look at your smart devices two hours before you go to bed. The light from a phone or tablet can interfere with melatonin levels.
I have to admit that I am guilty of looking at my phone close to bedtime. What about you?

smartphones and TV's are easy for me, I could put those down for hours before bed... lol
but the laptop and PC are different, these are the ones that I keep on for days since I use them the most so the usual would be for me to put them to sleep about 20 to 30 minutes before I go rest myself lol, that usually depends on how long I take with my cold shower before and I few other routine things
my sleeping patterns have never been the best anyway... lol
This is not a good habit of mine, but I have to make sure certain users are not bullying.
oh right... they never learn to behave
Hit or miss, I’m not on my phone 24/7 and I don’t really have it in the evenings. But I do have an hour or two of game time just before bed. And that counts as a device. The half an hour leading up to bedtime though is device free; usually because I’m busy preparing for bed and making sure everything is in order for the next day. The last time I look at my phone screen is just before going to sleep though, just to make sure my alarm is set and the phones plugged in.
My phone literally has a bed time. It says it's time for bed, and it goes to a grey tone instead of a regular color tone. Which makes wanna leave it alone because the color is gone... phone is asleep. And without my phone, i'm more compelled to sleep. Also incorporating into my schedule of no video games or computer after certain times. Aaand I'm getting to bed before 4:30, so it's working
I try to. I have them switched to eye comfort so they're at the red end of the spectrum.
Modern "efficient" bulbs in light fixtures tend to be blue end instead of the traditional incandescent tends to fuck things up too so I use an oil lamp to read an actual paper book for half an hour before I sleep.
Some days it works better than others.

I try to put the phone down, but some evenings it is unsuccessful, especially when I'm alone/traveling
I'm terrible about it. I need to do a better job.
Lately I've been listening to audiobooks, but I'll still have the phone or the iPad in front of wasting my time looking at websites related to my hobbies. The hubby is pretty good, he reads an actual book in his hand most evenings.
I keep checking here to make sure no one is BULLYING anyone. Full time job with some users. 😑
I definitely do sometimes but I just enjoy watching things reading or whatever. Lol! It is most nights i am on my phone until I can’t hold it up anymore.
I am pretty much the same. The poll is making me feel better about my bad habit. 🤣
Lol! We got you girl! Bad habits for everyone!
😂
The support is strong!
@Emiliamazing 😂😂the group that supports one another is strong. We won’t be able to see each other much but we got each other’s backs.
I keep my phone in my in-home office, far away from the bedroom. My tablet is next to the bed because I use it as an alarm clock to wake up.
That is a good idea. I might have to try that. Put it in another room. My Apple Watch wakes me up with an alarm so I don't technically need my phone.
My phone is also in what I call "don't bother me mode" (Quiet Mode) from 8pm to 8am so that it won't make sounds to wake me up, unless it's a call from one of the key numbers I've added to the exception list... that would be an emergency and it's loud enough to wake me up.
I am usually wacthing TV right before I go to bed but when I get home my phone gets put on the charger and I usually don;t look at it.
You do much better than I do! I'm like that guy under the covers. 😞
@PrettyPriya Kids these days. 😊😊😊😊
@exitseven Hahahaha that gave me a laugh. 🤣
Nope, I cannot help but to look at them right up until I go to sleep.
I am the same, sadly. The poll is making me feel better I am not alone.
Right up until bedtime and right again when I wake up!
Yep, same here. Terrible habit I cannot break.
Naw. I usually doin school work up till i pass out
I am usually watching for bullies. They never stop. 😞
I set my alarm from it so I have to look at it. Lol.
That shouldn't be too bad though. I think the studies are referring to those of us that will sit there and read on their phone or browse before bed or worse... in bed. Yep, that would be me.
Lol. I do sometimes but not all the time. I wake up often and check my phone. Sometimes I check on here too.
Yep, guilty of that too. They say that is the worst thing you can do if you wake up in the middle of the night.
Yeah, it keeps me up longer.
Nope, I literally chill under the duvet with my phone after bedtime, then I end up tired at school lol
You can just lower the back-light.
But even then the activity itself is exciting.
At night I simply keep my phone out of reach.
Although I use the computer.
No. I often fall asleep with it on a video or something lol
Perhaps if you didn't spend the very last moments before you go to sleep bullying girls on GaG you would sleep better. Bad Pauly! 🤣
Settle down, let me sing you a little lullaby. "Hold me close I am tiny Pauly, count the sprinkles on my cupcake "
My phone is turned off as soon as I arrive home from work.
I am always on my phone. I do invoices, estimates, job status reports, texting customers, looking at gag all before bed. I put my phone down, turn over and try to go to sleep.
I have a bad habit of passing out with it in my hand
Of course it is very necessary to put down your electronics before going to bed
The sad thing is I know this yet don't. Terrible habit of mine. Thanks for the opinion. 👍
I couldn't care less about what is recommended. I will use my phone when I feel like using my phone. 😠
Yes, I use my phone before bed, lol...
I do not use any device 2hrs before bed. I am a sleep for 2 Hrs waking up, not able to get back to sleep.
I voted B. I look at my phone a lot in bed.
Yep, me too. 😞
No I set different reminders and alarms every night and I talk to my family just before falling asleep.
Can't help it 😆
Me either! I'm so bad with this. At least the current poll results are making me feel better. 🤣
Yes I do. .. I charge it in another room too
I’m guilty as well 😬
Yep, not a good habit. Hard to break. 😭
Yeap. Then I usually read
You do way better than me. 😞
I go to bed at 10pm I turn off phone at 8pm with no sound
I put them down... otherwise it's quite bad for your health in my opinion
I leave my phone in another room.
Good job! I don't. Very bad habit. Thanks for the opinion. 🙂
You’re welcome Priya.
I put down the phone, pick up a book
You do much better than I do. It is one of my bad habits.
I'm getting better about it.
No, I check things and chat all days
Me too. Bad habit of mine.
For me it is always in my head "I will do one last quick check to see if anything needs hidden" which turns into much more. 😞
No, I usually drift off to an audiobook.
Mobile yes. PC no :(
I’m opposite 😞
Voted A
Good for you! You do better than me. 🙂
Voted B 🙃
Twinsies 😕
I’m addicted
I am guilty as charged too. 😞
if there's someone in my bed, yessss
Kind of
It is probably better than my bad habit with this.
i hardly look at mind
