So I'm only 23. I've been on the birth control pill since I was 17 but I have never really had problems with my period before. It's been late a few times on the pill and I have missed a period here and there, but this time it has been two months since my last period. I took a pregnancy test and it is negative. (I plan on testing again tho, just to be sure.) But I am getting a bit worried. My life has been a mess lately. My grandma passed last August, she was my best friend so that caused me immense grief. Then 6 months later, my grandpa passed unexpectedly and I've been anxiety ridden over mortality and grief. Then I started a second job on top of my anxiety and mourning. And to top it all off, I was having trouble with my long term partner and we broke up. Could it just be stress? Or should I see a doctor? I've been pretty stressed before and I still had my period, tho.. what could this mean?
Don't ask us. We are not medical professionals. See a doctor immediately and find out. And then if you aren't pregnant, get further tests to see if it's stress and grief causing this. If it is, you might need to see a therapist to talk through all this death and upheaval in your life recently. Good luck.

Well when it comes to medical issues it’s always best to see a doctor. But stress can play on your hormones throwing things out of whack. It could delay your cycles for a few days to months from what I remember. Do you workout a lot? I’ve heard of women who are fitness freaks who have little to no menstrual cycle either. Regardless get checked out. Your stress is coming from a number of things including stressing out over your cycle. See your doctor.
We’re going through almost same confusion. My gfs periods is now late by 7 days and we’re afraid if it’s pregnancy and we’re highly stressed. I asked for opinions here and every body suggested to do pregnancy test.
