I've had it, on rare occasion, due to a medical condition.
Tinnitus can have many different causes. Anywhere from physical damage to various parts of the ear, certain kinds of medication, a number of different diseases, or inherited genetic conditions.
It's possible for tinnutis to go away, if it's caused by something like medications, but in many cases, it is incurable, but manageable, depending on the ultimate cause.
yes, it's annoying.
get your ears checked, might be plugged with wax.
avoid clinching and grinding your teeth... if that's a problem, solve it. cut the stress out...
Drink more water, and eat less salt.
That will be $200 of advice...
I have had it for 20 decades and it does not bother me. In my opinion it is mind over matter.

I got blown up in 09... that coupled with a lot of gunfire over the years, so yes there's tinnitus. You get used to it, it never goes away though. You may not always notice as soon when it starts up. Mine's not even obnoxious anymore. It just is.
It never seems to go away and as far as I know there is no cure. I've noticed medication like Tylenol and anti-inflammatories like Advil will make it worse. It doesn't hurt to have him ask his doctor in case it's being cause by an issue with the jaw.
My boyfriend ate a whole bag of very tough jerky, he kept hearing his jaw clicking and his ear ringing but he didn’t think anything of it. The next morning, he had it and it’s never left. Our doctors are so horrible, they refuse to even look at him or assess his jaw. He already has respiratory issues and a broken back and so I feel so bad.
I have had tinnitus in both ears for decades. Probably got it initially by working in noisy computer rooms when I was younger. I've learned to live with it.
Women say that we guys can tune out women... just do the same thing to tinnitus.
i have some hearing loss and my brother has tinnitus and we got it at the same time, his tinnitus hasn't left and its been years, from what doctors said, it can take anywhere from weeks to years for it to heal and thats if its not permanent
he still has it but he's gotten used to it so he can only hear it if he focuses on it or if something loud makes it worse, which clapping of hands hurts his ear
I don't have it. Although it has many causes, the tinnitus society agree it can be cured with magnesium and is often caused by a deficiency.
It can be permanent at times. Has a doctor seen him for it
It's kinda one of those things that may fix itself or may not
I have it in both ears. Left is worse. Helps to irrigate the ears and make sure they are 100 percent wax free. It can improve but is often permanent.
Any condition that contains "itus" is caused by inflammation. It is fixable
Yes for more years than I can remember. Now it doesn't go away.
13 years now…comes and goes
I've had it for years
Is he a soldier?
A bit
