I'm scared I have colon cancer. What can I do?

So I've been having thin poop and also stringy poop. Stomach cramps and I am scared.. what should I do. Had these symptoms for 3 days straight. Please, anybody has this?

First, try to stay calm. You probably don't have colon cancer, but it's possible that you do- and in neither case will panicking help.

I'm not personally familiar with colon cancer, but if you're really worried, it's probably smart to see a doctor, so make an appointment. It'll likely be some time before you can see one, so in the meantime, prepare: make a list of what symptoms you're experiencing, and get as much information on them as you can. Timing, volume, fluidity, etc, plus what you ate, when, and how different it is from what's normal for you. If your appointment is a ways off, it may help to try making some dietary changes to see if that helps things.

It's easy to panic and think "Oh, no, it's cancer!" and not have any more information, but if you do that, get the scan and discover you're clean, you'll be no closer to the truth. Clearly, you're having SOME kind of problem, and the more information you can bring to the doctor, the better your outcome will be. Yes, even if you DO have cancer, because you'll be able to tell them more about how your body's reacting to changes you've made.

Probably something you ate but see a physician. It's very unlikely that you have colon cancer. I don't think those are symptoms of colon cancer.

I sometimes get those symptoms myself, except I have ulcerative colitis. You need to see a doctor.

Go see a doctor. you probably do not have it but in case you do, the faster you get treatment the better the odds of survival.

Go to your doctor. They will probably want you to get a colonoscopy
