Do you still habitually wear a mask after the pandemic and if so, why?

I think after the pandemic, it's become common for people to wear a mask if they're feeling sick although I've noticed some people wear it habitually.

I don't get the point of wearing a surgical mask because it won't protect you from inhaling viral pathogens; they decrease the probability of you spreading it to someone else if you are already infected so they don't offer you protection unless everyone else is wearing one. If you want to protect yourself, you should get a KN-95.

As for me, I do wear a surgical mask when I'm working in the microbiology lab and that's because if I breathe on a sample I'm working with and contaminate it, the entire experiment I'm working on can be ruined.

No, I do not and never did wear a mask even at the hight of the 'Pandemic' as where I live we tend to be independent lot, we made do with just keeping our distance unless we had to enter a shop or use public transport and then only to keep the peace, especially as the 'over the counter' masks were worse than useless, and caused more infections than they prevented, if anything industrial dust masks would give better protection.

Most of those who still wear masks habitually today all seem to be from one side of the political spectrum which makes me feel that they have swallowed the dogma hook line and sinker.

If I were sick and  HAD  to go out, I'd certainly wear one and N-95s are better than KNs. The only other reason to constantly wear one in public would be if you are immunocompromised.  Otherwise, right now, there are no regional outbreaks occuring in the U. S. If this changes as the weather changes, or someone from elsewhere carries in a new variety, we may be back to masks in the future.

I wear one when I'm a little sick and have to go out, because I don't want to get others sick. Immunocompromised people still wear them because they don't want to get sick.

I don’t in Tanzania (currently at) but I do when I take transit in Canada. In Tanzania no one wears them plus I never go into places where there are many people. In Canada I do when I’m public spaces. Not even for the viruses anymore but because people don’t have proper hygiene.

I never wore one at any point during the pandemic, other than the time I was testing its effects on blood oxygen levels for a personal experiment (they dropped to hypoxia levels after 7 minutes while at rest).

Not usually, but I will if I have one convenient and am sick because there's no reason to spread germs I don't have to. That was already a thing in urban east asia and I'd be happy to see it come here as well.

Nope. I sometimes have a mask handy, just in case, but I haven't worn a mask in months, other than one exception... a doctor's office that gave me a mask to wear... it's still their protocol.
