What Girls Said
I am surprised you are only seeking female opinions because men could need shots in their hips as well. I have had probably 12 hip injections. It depends on whether they are using a fluoroscope to visualize the joint space that they are injecting. If they are using the scope they ask that you put on a gown and your underwear is off. The injection is usually put in at the top of your groin above the crease of your groin. It does pinch and burn. They will numb you up with an injection of bupivacaine. You will feel some pressure that is not the most comfortable. They are usually really quick about it. Then on the second day I flush like crazy. My face flushes and it feverish and I have several days of a flared pain reaction. All of which are normal. You can not submerge yourself in water like a bathtub or a pool for 24 hours. I hope this helps.
What is that supposed to mean?
Yes, once.
did you contract your hip at that time?
Nope.
How far do you peel off underwear during the injection?
