What is the dumbest way you've been hurt?

When I was fifteen, I tried to show off on a bicycle and ended up busting my top lip and chipping a tooth.

In my teens, I was surfing in the Seal Beach Jetty. It's a channel where warm water from the power station goes out to the ocean. Waves roll into it and break, but they eventually peter out.

So I caught a wave and rode it until it started petering out. Instead of kicking out and paddling back out, I moved to the nose of my board and tried to drop back in one more time.

The wave died and I decided to stand there and sink on the nose of my board like a captain going down with his ship. I was picturing some cartoon or something.

When I went under, the board shot back out of the water into the air and the rail came down and hit me on top of the head. It didn't knock me out but it hurt and I felt stupid.

I got back on my board and started paddling back back out. Another surfer said "Dude, you're bleeding."

I ducked under the water and was surrounded by blood when I came up.

I paddled in and drove to the doctor. They shaved a small patch of my hair and put in some stitches. I forget how many.

When I was like 10, I cut a massive gash in my leg as I was doing a backflip in a pool. My leg his the abnormally sharp stairs leading into the pool.

It's not even like I was jumping in the pool from the outside of it. I was in the pool when I did the backflip. 🤣 such a weird experience. It was such a big gash that I still have the scar. It's still got that scar tissue on it. And definitely god some nerve damage from it because I don't feel pain in the spot.

Then there was the time a few years ago when I woke up & did that morning stretch everyone does... Except this time, as I pointed my wrist outward, the right one just fuckin pops out of place, rendering it utterly useless as it takes months to improperly heal back together. I'm still afraid to move it in certain ways. I always feel like it's going to pop of the socket again & I'll be stuck trying pleasure myself with my left hand again. Feels so unnatural. Like trying to write backwards.

Not me, but my sister. We were on a huge hill me, my little sister and my other sister who were maybe 11 and 8. We were just riding a bike down the hill but the hill lead to a huge concrete wall so you’d have to jump off before you hit it. Anyways, it was my 10 year old sisters turn and while she was going, we yelled at her to jump off, but she didn’t listen.
She slammed head first into the concrete wall, didn’t even avert her face or anything. At the time I thought she was silly for not jumping off but now I realize she was probably just afraid to.
Anyway, she got a huge knot on her forhead. It blacked both of her eyes and took a month to heal up. My mother was pretty lenient so we told her the truth about it, she didn’t really care much, well until the school called the police with a child abuse allegation lol.

When I was 9 I tried to show off to my friends at school by jumping down a bunch of stairs to prove that I could jump from the top stair to the ground at the bottom without touching the stairs. Failed miserably and hit the bottom step and broke my ankle.

When I was 12 I snuck out of class while it was raining to go and play on the playground. Tried to climb a ladder and slipped off of it because it was wet. Landed on my ass and broke my tailbone. Laid there screaming until a teacher came out and carried me to the sick bay.

- When i was 6, i wanted to make a somersaults... eventually i broke my nose

- at 9 i slipped during street play with other kids and got cerebral consussion.

- at 12 i was at the wrestling section, i decided to show off and i fell on a knee, and tore a blood vessel, which resulted in internal bleeding inside my knee. I had to recover for almost a month with my leg fixeg in gypsum.

- at 14, a front wheel of my bicycle slipped and i flew through bicycle handlebar, landing on my palms. My palms were bandaged for around a week or so.

Running on a treadmill at my cousin’s house, don’t remember who but someone upped the speed while I was on it so I couldn’t keep up and got some semi bad burns from the treadmill

Or like middle school but also at my cousin’s, I got into an argument with some other kid, punched him and got punched back

Just a stupid slip and fall on a fire scene.

Tore my right rotator cuff in 3 spots.

Surgery, 6 months of pt and light duty.

Those are the number 1 injuries in the fire service.

Didn't even have a good sympathy story like I was rescuing a cat from a tree, jumped in front of a bus to save a kid.

My buddy that saw it said for 20 bucks I didn't see that.

It's so good to have friends.

I made a bet with my friend that I could ride on a Segway at full speed downhill and not fall off.. I thought I was an expert.
I ended up falling off pretty badly and grazing the skin off my elbows, knees and even broke my finger trying to soften the fall.

As a teen, I managed to kick the floor and strain my ankle for weeks.

At school, I ran into a barbed wire fence and still have a scar for that one.

Broke my wrist playing indoor football.

And finally, fell over while running across a road and nearly knocked myself unconscious.
