I’m getting surgery on Halloween so that’s gonna be something 💀
I broke my arm twice so they basically needed to put a medal thing in my bone to help realign it, and I gotta get it removed.

yeppers, my right big toe was sewn back on, I had an argument with a John Deere tractor as a kid, tore my right rotator cuff in 3 places so they had to fix that, fire department injury, lung surgery, they had to open me up and remove almost 2 liters of "fluid" from my left lung, fire dept issue.
I had a cold, and we were making great progress in a fire, and my air pack took a shit but I had a rookie crew and didn't want to have to pull them out because they were knocking the crap out of the fire, so I just shut it off and sucked it up.
It turned into pneumonia, but it didn't present like pneumonia, but I was under a doctor's care and the anti-biotic wasn't strong enough to knock it out, so it came back with a vengeance, so when they took x rays, I went right to the hospital and I saw the surgeon that afternoon and he told me I would have surgery the next day, he didn't know what time but it would happen that day.
I knew I was in deep doo doo then. I had knee surgery many years ago from playing football, and 3 or so years ago I got a brand-new knee, which was one of the better things I have ever had done to me.
Toss in a few stitches here and there, I had my Dupuytren's contracture fixed in my left hand about a year or so ago, a couple of concussions and that is pretty much it.
@exitseven just great.
I never really gave it much thought when I was younger that I might need some of those parts to work when I got older.
Out of everything my shoulder gets sore doing stuff in certain positions, or if I sleep on it too much and of course I tend to sleep on my right side.
Having my knee replaced was one of the best things I have ever had done.
It was getting so I would take a step and there was nothing there, so for me it was kind of life changing in a good way.
I'm not accident prone, I am sort of a bull in a China shop person.
Being "the big guy" I was always called upon to do the stuff smaller guys couldn't. I just never said no, and being a truckie on the fire department we are the ones that generally rip stuff apart so the engine company can go in and squirt some water on the fire and look like heros.
@Fireguy17 All you guys are heroes.
@exitseven no, we just have been blessed to be able to help others.
@exitseven thanks.
Sounds like enough for a lifetime.
Massive reconstruction on my face after a bad wreck. Broke my hand a few times, got a plate in there, then my body didn't like the plate so it got taken out. Stitched up a few times on vacation for various reasons. Had some shrapnel taken out of my back in a hotel room one time, but she was an ER nurse so whether that counts or not I'm not sure. Had a 5.45x39 a 74 put in my calf that took 3 operations to get everything out of because we didn't have imaging capability where I was, so it was "poke around and see what's there". Had a bunch of teeth knocked out a while ago so I had a bridge put in. Got stinted after a heart attack. Think that was it. Pretty sure everything else I just fixed with superglue or 100mph tape.
I'd say it's friggin' awesome.
I'm still here and I made it out better than "the other guy"
Million dollar man
So you are getting a medal for your bravery, for getting it fixed? After having it broken twice you deserve one.
I think you got my drift. 😉
Just surgery to get my wisdom teeth taken out
Is that a surgery? I’ve had that done and many other teeth procedures. It sucks
@Charliefretz329 yes its surgery if you got put under for it
Yeah I got a navy dentist to go it with only novacaine.
@Charliefretz329 were they impacted?
Yes, and buried. All four
@Charliefretz329 you should have been put under then lol. Those military doctors are nuts
I think I have ptsd from that. I shudder like nails of chalkboard when I Hear a dental drill
On the plus side though I’ll be a tough nut to crack in a POW camp lol
Give some big ass girl some lip and she could have done that for free. 😅😄😂

Of course. I had lots of surgeries. Half of which i paid from my own pocket.
Eyes, nose 2 times, back, both legs. And i'm on a waiting list for my stomach but i expect to not get my turn. I'll have to find me another hospital elsewhere for it.
Yeah I once had surgery on my scrotum in highschool to remove a cyst that was the size of like a third ball. The pain was horrible and I wish I woulda just never cared and left it alone because I sometimes get random pain there if I ever puke or cough to hard lol that pain comes back it's not pleasant when sick.
Nope I don't even get checkouts or none of That, I sleep shit off but didn't you get surgery not too long ago? I'm assuming that was when they put the thing in?
I see, best of luck on the surgery Tia
Yes. My left foot/ankle… 12 screws and other metals
Surgeon did say I may need another surgery in my 60s so I will enjoy my life while I am in full function. Except.. I am slowly changing my 4 inch heels to 2 inches… now.. mostly in sneakers for comfort.
I will know if I start to feel pain… then go for an X-ray…as of now… I am counting my lucky starts to stay healthy and nut out too ouch pressure on my left foot.
That’s what I recall… 12… my foot was in pieces.. and my tibia cracked and broke. So it had to be held together with metal and screws.
Update… how long will it take to recover? Got pain killer?
First time was a medically necessary D&C. Swcond qas gallbladder removal. Third was an elective double salpingectomy.
Yeah, its been an eventful 10 years. Lol
I had an episiotomy which is a surgical procedure to help deliver a baby. I've also had my wisdom teeth taken out via surgery. Which I had to be under for.
Same I had that too plus 3 C-sections plus hernia repair
Surprisingly no. My husband just had a surgery I think his 5th or some shit like that, but I've never needed one. I bet I will at some point, I've been injured plenty of times and there's just no way some of that shit won't come back later in life. He's never even been injured rlly, he just got fucked by genetics & statistics.
Good luck!
nope, and I hope I never need one...
hope you're feeling much better today though (=
great to hear... good luck with the recovery as well
hopefully it was just some damage to the bones
if they didn't tell you about it... then you're all good to go, lol
now you'll have an even stronger arm than before
When I was very young, I had cosmetic surgery on my cauliflower ears.
My ears stuck out more than they should. After surgery, they don't.
Knee and hernia repair for me.
I hope you have a speedy recovery from yours.
Yes, I had a flap urethroplasti
I had a bi lateral hernia repair and I had a total hip replacement
I had my wisdom tooth taken out. It was too tricky for the dentist to take out, so they sent me to hospital to have it done.
Simples...
I've had a few surgeries. I had a torn rotator cuff fixed, I've had pins put in my ankle, and had bone fragments removed from my hand
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I hope everything goes as planned for you
I dunno if this counts but when i got my wisdom teeth removed. knocked me out and took them out.
It wasn't bad really. i got a kick out of how quick it felt. like one moment i heard him counting down to 1 while im being knocked out while the next he was finished. felt like mere seconds but he told me it took 30 minutes.
Best of luck with your surgery now! let us know how it went with an update perhaps?
Wisdom tooth removal (all 4 of them) and kidney stones removal.. both under general anesthesia..
You’ll be fine.. best of luck and be regular in rehabilitation sessions ❤️
i had sinus surgery once for a broken nose, the recovery after was really shitty
aside from circumcision and adenoid surgery no but i got many stitches and injuries to compensate.
Yes. In a hospital.
hahahahaha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BQ5UCxL4EY
Tonsils as a kid. Shoulder as an adult. .
@exitseven This good lines keep cropping up over and over. :- )
Had something similar.
Broke my arm. They had to use a donar bone to repair. Said they didn't worry about taking out the metal unless it bothered me later.
Have had 2 surgeries and going g to be getting 2 more. All on different parts of my body
Was kind to my boy in my younger days between military and construction
