Are you for it? I mean I understand some women don’t want to get hit on, but I’ve personally never even approached a girl at the gym. I just workout. At work, I workout with all guys, and I don’t feel like there should be only men gyms…
Women should definitely have the option of female only gyms. I know there are guys that creep on girls at the gym, but there are also girls who go overboard and slander men that don't deserve it. Female only gyms would prevent that situation entirely.
However, I think girls need to understand that if they're attractive they are always going to get attention, especially in all the skin tight clothing they wear at the gym. If they wear that it means they put themselves in that position. Men (for the most part) don't wear skin tight clothing at the gym... especially not to show off their ass, so I really don't understand why girls need to.
I honestly think it's fine for guys to checkout an attractive girl. It's not a crime to look. If it makes uncomfortable, go elsewhere (thus my reason for supporting female only gyms). The only time I think a man crosses that line is if he approaches the girl and she's told or implied she's not interested in talking and he pursues it further. THAT can be called harassment.

It can be viewed as a big no. USA is big on everyone needs to get along at the start. From transgender to straight, why would we begin picking and choosing when sexist should be allowed? We are adults let's handle it like adults. Many gyms sort their equipment around which helps as seen in other comments. If you are harassed file a complaint and get the person banned, a gym that does not care about the well-being of its members will not stay around for long. A gym is there to make money, making specific hours for genders will cause people to join the next door because they might want to work out at that time. A gym is a business that must abide by the law.
I think more gyms these days are more aware of women being harrassed in gyms with some having really strict policies about this now as well as plenty of security cameras, which has maybe cut down on the need for women only gyms, but other than a few comments here and there, I've never had an issue at a male/female gym over the years.
My university gym was SUPER clever in the way they designed it. They knew full well, most women weren't going to be doing heavy lifting using heavy weights, so all the machines that would allow this were on one side, and the whole other side is filled with the lighter weight lifting machines, and all the cardio machines. It naturally worked itself out. No guy would be seen on "the girl side" (except to hit the treadmills) and only a few girls, like myself, ever really ventured on to "the guy side." I found I tended to get a lot of encouragement on the guy side when they saw I was lifting heavier so I never felt like I couldn't go over to that side or wasn't welcomed.
No, the girls and their skin-tight clothing wouldn't be able to get the attention they crave. I'm sure not many of them actually work out when guys are around.

I don't care. I rarely visit a gym anyway, only for dancing activities if running is impossible. And if needed, I can say a firm "no, thank you".
I would like “YOUTH ONLY” gyms.
Up until age 30 limit.Cause the male creeps are over the age of 35 generally. They’ve all hit the wall, and in sexless marriages. And they’re all downbad. They’re so downbad they hit on everything they can. They’re trying to get anything they can. I remember going to the gym at 200 pounds looking like a damn beast, and it was almost all the older dudes like I said 30+, crowding me in all the machines nearby.
I took that photo. Those 3 old farts would always crowd around me. At 200 m—-er f—ing pounds!

If the gym is profitable , and females want it.. Why not? Its a free market.
Personally , I've never seen any women harassed at a gym , but I'm sure its happened.
The negative ( or positive view dependent ) may be loosing the competitive nature of the gym environment that really does push you , from what I have seen anyhow is most serious female gym goers want guys there.
I 100% get the point on hogging machinery , but I as a feather weight , get that also , which pisses me off , someone standing there - go do something else mate , and when I get unsolicited advice , that shits me too , never seen a woman do that.
Nah, it wouldn't matter to me. Realistically, most women aren't bothered in the gym by men. And if they were, you can get the creep banned easy. Some women would like this because it makes them feel more
comfortable working out around other women, but then get the sexy ass body and realize they actually do like being in the male dominated gyms... lol.
Sexual assault and harassment in gyms is not as prevalent as the media makes it seem.
There are women only hours at my gym and I like those. Some guys are pushy when it comes to using machines :/ like I'll be doing two reps and they stand there and ask me to use it right away knowing full well I want to keep using it. Never ran into that issue with women. I've also never been hit on at the gym and frankly it's not a top concern for me I can just tell them no.
I used to go to an all girls gym. Honestly it was absolutely wonderful. I didn’t have to fight buff dudes for the squat rack just so they can do chest. The gym I went to have everything I could possibly wish for without weight limitation. I only stopped going there cause I moved out the neighborhood.
some girls go because it gives them an opportunity to feel safe, comfortable and without judgement for their workouts.
A couple of the local ones put in a bunch of women only hours, another has a separated area with gym equipment and sports kit for women. There are still mixed session but the option for separate. They also have an older persons, and overweight sessions as both also did not want hassle of people running at 15km/h when they were doing 5 Km/h.
I believe one benefit of the gym is that being in a fitness centre motivates you to work out. If I had the tools to exercise at my house but there was no music or fancy work out rooms or formality involved, I might not take the work out seriously. It's like, when bosses make you dress up at work because dressing up enhances the respect their employees have for the job and makes them work harder.
Most gyms were male only gyms but certain women demanded to be allowed in and we now know why. So female only gyms is a good idea. Especially because gyms are now beginning to ban cameras and women
For those who'd feel uncomfortable working out around men, it's a good alternative. Although honestly I haven't had a bad experience at the gym regarding men anyway. They are, for all I have encountered, more willing to help if necessary.
The only place I'm a little less comfortable is the parking lot, hence I rarely go during dark hours. They’re a good idea for those that want to partake in them but I wouldn’t for the reason that I go to the gym with my boyfriend
There used to be a female only gym called "Curves", which went out of business... why? Because women can't get attention from men at a female only gym.
No. I likr watching men.. 🤣 thier part of my motivation
I have a feeling Women would still go to men’s gyms just to fuck with men and male men feel uncomfortable. I mean, isn’t that what modern women these days do? They just love making men feel uncomfortable
I only go to the gym real early in the morning to avoid men as much as possible. If there are a bunch of men in there, I turn around and go home.
I've never been to one before so I can't say anything. But I'm fine going to the regular gyms.
I have never tired a female only gym, but would be interested... I would feel safer and more comfortable.
I'm more comfortable with female only gyms.
wow, I could imagine all of the gossiping in this place. its probably gonna be worst than a salon
I bet some girls would appreciate it. Me personally ok with gyms where boys/girls together.
