Moms, is it common that when you are pregnant you produce lot of breastmilk?

Every women's milk tastes different because of their diet.
It's mostly like skim milk but more healthy

Nope, I didn't have any breast milk leaking out of me. Thank goodness because I had to work everyday and that would have been an embarrassing problem.

I worked with a girl who lactated heavily when pregnant. Her shirt in front was all wet, and she even pumped at work. I can't imagine anyone walking around that way, any more than having food all over the front of your shirt. But it was natural, and everyone just took it in stride as nothing that was highly unusual. I just wondered why she didn't place inserts in her bra to absorb the moisture. I know they have them. I mean if you can wear Depends on your ass, why not something for leaky boobs?

Pumping takes 10 minutes or so. Why not the rest of the day when she isn't?

I've known a few moms. I think it's different for different women. I've known women who produce early, often and in large quantities. I've known women who it takes a couple weeks (after their child is born) to start producing "sufficient" quantities". I've known women who barely produce at all, and immediately need to start their babies on formula.

I mean, pregnant people start producing colostrum around 15-16w. And it’s part of the process. Some people leak, some don’t. I'm producing more milk than usual because I have hyperlactation. But that's not always a good thing.

That’s strange? After giving birth to a child is when your body knows you had a baby. Then your body produces milk. But I guess every body is different

Wife response: yes you lactate more towards the end of your pregnancy as your body is getting ready for you to breastfeed. I had it as well as have my sisters and my mom.
