I have like a nervous or ocd thing where I twirl my hair then straighten it out. I've noticed I pull like a strand or two of hair out sometimes. Over time I've noticed my left side of my head has gotten less thick with hair. I'm trying to stop. It's a real bad habit. I tend to do it when I'm thinking or having nothing to do. Will it grow back if I stop?

Dude, don't sweat it too much. Your hair will definitely grow back! Hair pulling and messing with it can cause some temporary thinning for sure, but it sounds like you're catching it early.
A lot of people have nervous ticks or habits with their hair without realizing they're doing damage over time. At least you're aware of yours and wanting to stop. That's the important thing.
As long as you give it some TLC now, it should bounce back no problem. Make sure to wash/massage your scalp regularly to get good circulation going. Taking a daily multi-vitamin can't hurt either.
In a few months of leaving it alone, I bet you won't even notice the thinning spot anymore. Hair grows super fast. Try keeping your hands busy with something else like a stress ball when you feel the urge to pull. You've got this man - don't stress, just let it do its thing!
I dont think this nervous habit is a good idea , I'd actually see a doctor and get some advice , I'm certain there is some lotion you could use and some vitamins you could take , certainly zinc.
Fight this issue from the inside.
I’d recommend visiting a hair dresser, they will give you a better answer, and they might be able to recommend hair products to support your hair growing back.
