Im starting jujitsu , is there anything I should know like what to wear and what to not wear?

Hi there ! Im just starting a new self defense and i thought maybe there's anything specific i should know like what to wear and what to avoid wearing like earrings or shoes and all that because jujitsu seems like a very fun sport : )

Never wear any kind of jewelry. Even if not in their rules, you're risking permanent disfigurement. Shoes are a no-go. If it's a gi class, wear a thin gi, because it gets hot quickly. If it's a no-gi class, wear thick clothes so you aren't rubbing your "parts" on people. Shower beforehand, brush your teeth well, use deodorant, don't use perfume or lotion. Hair in a bun is probably best, but you'll figure out what works for you. Mouth guard is typically optional, so you can decide on that later too. Probably not a big deal in the beginning. Cardio wins, strength burns out.

Well if its no-gi then wear what you're comfortable with, ussually its legins and tank top for me. Dont wear aby jewelry (girls ussually forget to get their rating of, dont do that you're risking an injury).
One tip from me, dont be afraid to train with guys, you will learn much faster with them. I train jiu-jitsu for years so if you have some questions DM me ❤️
