Runners, do you think this makes sense?

A buddy of mine is trying to start running for his health and asked me a scale for his performance. Since I’m kind of a runner, I told him:

Entry level running should focus on running less than 10 mins a mile. After doing this for 3 miles, transition to beginner level.

Beginner level between 25-30 mins for 3 miles.

Intermediate level 20-25 mins for 3 miles.

Advance level anything under 20 mins for 3 miles.

I have routines for up to 12 miles but I think what I said is a good quick and easy way to see how well you are performing. What do you guys think?
