My mom was identified with bowel obstruction which is a serious issue, they took to ER for 9 hours and couldn't help her so they sent her home and gave her simple laxatives she can buy anywhere. No detailed scans, no investigation, nothing. I am appealed at the skills and service.

This article makes no sense. Say's it's lagging behind and is awful then say's it's top 30 in the world...
Top 30 is damn good which by the way would make in the top 10 of European countries... so it's contradicting it's self, and it's really clear this don't go into much detail at all compared to the one I sent you.

Also people in their own country obviously complain about their own systems because they will always think it can be better, and it probably can be. But they have a bias really, it's not as if they go to every country, and rank it themselves based on personal experience.
So who would know better studies done broadly over many countries taking data from each one or random brits who've never been to more than 2 countries nvm know their health systems in and out.

I wouldn't say that but I can't really judge. We do have lots of good - but very expensive - medical equipment... and malpractice lawyers. So, medicine is very expensive. I am wallowing in medical debt that I cannot pay right now. And, later this year, I'm going to get a lot more medical debt. In the USA, you work all your life to save for retirement and then have that wiped out when you start needed medical treatment when you get old.
