it may work but I think keeping the weight off is going to be the tricky part, losing weight that way is not a good idea especially if your not into exercising and not ready to change your eating habits forever. If you do go on that diet and lose weight, when you go off of it your likely going to gain it all back and more.

Assuming that that's 20 pounds of fat and not just water weight, you're looking at a 35,000 calorie deficit per week which averages out to a 5,000 calorie deficit a day. That is to say, you would need to burn 5,000 more calories than you take in every day. That whole premise is ridiculous.

Assume you currently eat 2500 calories a day. Further assume that, given your current level of activity and your current metabolism, you are calorie neutral. Now, let's say you don't eat anything at all for two weeks but don't change your activity level at all. Your calorie deficit will only be half of what you would need to lose weight at that rate. Sort of. Actually, your metabolism will slow down significantly and your body will start to shut down so you'll end up burning fewer calories.

Exactly what this guy said, it's virtually impossible for someone to lose 20 pounds of fat and not water in a week. You would have to be an utter maniac with unstoppable willpower.

If you want to lose weight without exercising, you need to cut a lot of calories but you still need to eat. Fasting doesn't work because it isn't sustainable. Eventually, you have to start eating again and you gain all of the weight back. All you end up doing is killing your metabolism. It's also worth noting that it doesn't matter whether the food is solid or liquid, what matters is its nutritional value. Here's a good place to start link

Doubt it, how you lose weight is calories in calories out, this means you have to burn more calories then you put in.

Liquids still contain calories.

You put 1500 calories in your body and then you work out and do daily activity's and you end up burning 1700 calories, you lose weight. That's the only way you lose weight.

Its really very simple.

Nope. Even if it were true, losing that much weight that fast isn't healthy. Shedding pounds doesn't come from diet alone. Exercise is a huge factor.
