I just got my teaching assignments for the Fall semester and i have noticed that the days are getting shorter. I am not looking forward to the fall.

It was 106°F today with no relief in sight for more than a week.

We won't get any comfortable days until October!!

It doesn't look like summer is winding down to me at all!

I can't wait to turn off my air conditioner and open up my sliding glass door with the screen and get some air inside.

Totally with you. As far as I am concerned the year should start on April 1 and end on August 31 and then go right back to April. Rinse and repeat.

There is nothing I dread more than the endless dreary days that are headed are way. Days that start an 9 A. M. and because of the endless cloud cover - not to mention the onset of that evil white stuff called snow - the days end at 10 A. M.

Totally with you and hope Congress will pass legislation endorsing global warming.

You are a teacher? I am on SSDI and a NEET (at least right now), so summer break does not apply to me. Everyday is a day off for me. I am actually looking forward to the cooler weather as it has been hot with mosquitoes everywhere.

I may be getting a small part time job here soon, as long as I remain below the SGA threshold amount.

I have been looking forward to escaping the Florida heat for two weeks in August by going to Alaska, so I have no sadness. I have an extremely busy calendar in the fall, as I am the president of two organizations, and the guys I mentor at the University will return in late August. Fall will be a fun time for me, and I LOVE college football!

No shortage of summer days in the tourist location I live in. The drop in numbers comes in September, when kids go back to school.

But you're right about the shortening days. It helps cope with the heat.
